Facilities
Stables
25 Large airy stables, custom designed in an east-facing barn.
Grazing
30 acres of well draining rolling land on a chalk base, we offer all year round turn out with little mud and excellent grass. All fields are regularly poo-picked, harrowed, sprayed and rotated to ensure the best possible grazing.
Turnout is in small groups or pairs in well-fenced paddocks, we aim to turn out for as long as possible every day.
Arenas
We have two arenas, a 20m x 40m sand and rubber outdoor arena with floodlights and a new 20m x 40m indoor arena. The surfaces supplied by Martin Collins are regularly harrowed and watered to provide the best possible riding surface we can offer. The outdoor arena is not fenced in to give a feeling of space and to encourage riders (and horses) not to “cling” to the edge of the school.
We have a full set of show jumps available with fillers, gate, wall etc. and these can also be used in the field when the ground is right to give a bigger jumping arena.
Both arenas have specialist lighting that is designed not to cast shadows, this ensures that you can jump or flat school through the dark winter months.
Hacking
Hacking around the picturesque lanes is quiet and peaceful and apart from some farm traffic you are unlikely to encounter many cars. There are also 2 bridleways (one directly outside our main gate) and we also have a “toll” arrangement with a local farm to use one of their fields as gallops. There are opportunities to go for a quiet amble or a good blast.
Box Parking
We don’t charge for parking horseboxes or trailers and you are welcome to keep your horse transport here but this is entirely at your own risk and we recommend that you have the appropriate locks/wheel clamps etc.
Rug Washing
Rug washing and proofing available on site.
